AllRecipes.com
AllRecipes.com is a nifty website. Lots of recipes. I stumbled across this one when I was trying to find out how to make chicken and dumpling soup. I liked how they had an easy version of it. Also like that it has ratings, comments, and tips from people who've tried the recipes.

Seal Cam
A webcam you can control for a bit. This is a seal rescue on Texel Island (Netherlands). This one has a good set up, with 6 pre-sets, zoom, and much opportunity to see not only the seals, but some of the surrounding area.

Movie Mistakes
There's a bunch of websites devoted to pointing out cinematic screw-ups and movie goofs. Some mistakes might even seem familiar once you read about them. (Did you see the car in LoTR 1?) One of those websites is MovieMistakes.com. You can vote on the entertainment value of the mistake. There's a free (ad-filled, pop-ups galore) and paid (no ads) version. You can contribte as well. A slightly better formatted website is Movie Bloopers. Just a little easier on the eyes. Notable mentions: SlipUps.com (with movie, TV and book mistakes), and The Nitpickers Site (love the name). The IMDB has a Goofs section too.

When in Holland...
Holland is a beautiful country. You'll see plenty of windmills and beautiful landscapes and seascapes. I've been here before and am back not for the lovely scenery, but to visit my love. It's a long way, but definitely worth the trip.

A handy dandy Glossary of Internet Terms right at your fingertips. An A to Z created and maintained by Matisse Enzer. Quite useful for determining the difference between say XML and HTML. Or finding out what a PNG is.

Television Without Pity
Television Without Pity is a fun site. They have reviewers (with attitude) that recap TV shows. They don't pretty it up. And usually it's rather funny how they cut up about the situations they're recounting. In a way, they're a bit over the top. I found myself wondering why they bother to recount the happenings of shows they don't even seem to like. But hey, for me, it was a good way to find out what happened during a season finale I missed (this show, maybe I should've just checked their site). So sarcastic or not, they're informative.
And of shows I've seen and read their recap of, pretty accurate and quite detailed. They list a few shows as "inactive" or on "permanent hiatus" (such as Dead Zone and C.S.I. Miami) and they're not, at least not in my area. So if you see something listed as such, check the shows website to be sure.
